Nurses in Nzega
Five nurses from London spent 3 weeks using their skills in Nzega Hospital. They found conditions very different from Kingston Hospital where they work.
They knew before travelling with the FUM group that the hospital was short of equipment so they spent time beforehand raising £5000 to take for local purchases of essential items.
The shortage turned out to be worse that they had expected so another £1600 was raised on their return which FUM transferred direct to the hospital.
