Clinics in Urambo District

Urambo District has 21 rural clinics each providing medical care to several thousand people. FUM used to support five clinics in the District but local government reorganisation transferred them to Kaliua District.
In 2017 FUM agreed to support three new clinics in Urambo District.


Kamalendi Clinic

The clinic was built by the local residents with help from the District Council. It opened in 2009 and serves a local population of over 6000 people.

Kiloleni Clinic

The much needed new 4-bed maternity unit has been completed and it now has a reliable source of clean water via solar pump from the borehole 2.8 km away.

Usisya Clinic

The clinic is 20km east of Urambo with the benefit of a tarmac road. It was built by the village residents with help from Urambo District Council. It opened in 1989 and now serves a local population of over 15,000 people.
