FUM supports two District Hospitals and fourteen Mother and Child clinics in Tabora Region


Hospital Projects

FUM supports the District Hospitals in Urambo and Nzega townships. Each is run by a District Medical Officer (DMO) who is also responsible for administration of the various village clinics.

Clinics in Nzega District

FUM's first two clinics were built in Nzega District, initiated by our co-founder John Gillett, and these have expanded to five clinics.

Clinics in Kaliua District

Local government reorganisation led to the creation of Kaliua as a separate District and our five clinics were then transferred to it.

Clinics in Urambo District

Urambo District has 21 rural clinics each providing medical care to several thousand people. FUM used to support five clinics in the District but local government reorganisation transferred them to Kaliua District. In 2017 FUM agreed to support three new clinics in Urambo District.
